Although companies like SwedeShop have tried to improve the IKEA experience by offering ways to track items and your budget, there’s nothing like experiencing 310+ pages of IKEA goodness from the palm of your hand.

The app allows you to scroll through rooms, zoom in for a closer look, then click on furniture you’d like to buy. A video of the app in action below:

Currently, it’s in a test-phase for the IKEA UK 2010 catalog only. Given enough success, we’re sure to see it come stateside pretty soon. Luckily for us, we have a pounds to dollars converter app in case we find something we really like…

After migrating iTunes to Windows 7, sometimes it wouldn’t sync properly.

Specifically, iTunes would conk out about three-quarters of the way into backing up the iPhone. I literally waited hours, hoping it would eventually finish the process, but no luck.

I won’t bore you with the gory details, other than to say I did a lot of resetting, restoring, waiting around, cursing, and hair-pulling, all to no avail. (I hope it comforts you to know that even we so-called experts run into crazy glitches like this.)

One thing I tried was booting my Vista partition and syncing the iPhone there. And guess what? It worked! That, my friends, is exactly why I’m a proponent of making a gradual migration to Windows 7: If something doesn’t work right, you have a fallback.

Still, I needed my iPhone to sync in Windows 7. But no amount of troubleshooting would solve the problem.

Then, I tried something totally crazy: I plugged the sync cable into a different USB port. And believe it or not, that did the trick. The iPhone zipped through the backup process and was back to normal. Hallelujah.

I can’t say this will solve whatever sync problems you might be experiencing, but it’s definitely worth a try. (Just make sure you’re not in the middle of syncing when you unplug the cable.)

Are you evil? Probably not. Maybe you’re a little naughty from time to time. It’s likely you’ve done some bad things. Perhaps you can display a touch of viciousness at the water cooler or on the golf course. But it’s not as if you’ve killed a guy, taken candy from babies, or produced American Idol.

Nevertheless, you may want to indulge your darker impulses now and again, and say some things you’re really thinking. For that, TechPad Productions’ iMEvil app for the iPhone and iPod touch is your unholy solution.

IMEvil is an entertainment application that boasts 36 of the most chillingly fiendish sound clips you’re likely to hear this side of the Hot Place. Simply tap one of the icons and the wicked sound plays. And that’s it.

What saves iMEvil from being just another dopey novelty app—mind you, it’s a still a novelty app, just not a dopey one—are the exquisite production values and exceptional voice talent. And for that, you will kiss the ground David Sobolov walks on, or he will destroy you where you stand.

You may not know the name but you might know the voice. Gamers have heard Sobolov’s work in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Halo Wars, Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Justice League Heroes, among others. Sobolov’s voice is so deep, so resonant and so diabolical, he makes John Di Maggio sound like Tom Kenny.

Listening to Sobolov utter such bone-chillers as “Quiet!” “Don’t do something stupid,” “Someone must pay for your failure,” and “Think harder,” it’s easy to imagine iMEvil’s applications in management and education. But it’s probably most appropriate at bars and parties, particularly around October 31. Sobolov is so good, though, you’ll want to hear him say mundane things like, “Yes, I would like fries with that,” or “Excuse me, do you have the time?” Maybe in a future update.

Congrats to iPhone game developer Freeverse, who announced today that over the weekend they sold the millionth copy of their Flick Fishing game, making Flick Fishing the first paid application to reach the one million download milestone.

Flick Fishing allows iPhone and iPod touch users to take a virtual fishing trip with the flick of a wrist. The game uses the iPhone’s accelerometer to recreate a casting motion, then a combination of bait choice and fishing skill helps players land the big fish.

The iPhone OS 3.0 update issued last week for Flick Fishing allows peer-to-peer networking for players to compare their catches while competing in a blackjack style fishing contest. In addition, in-app purchases of a new fishing location and new fish have been made by nearly 10 percent of users since the OS 3.0 update was issued.

“We couldn’t be happier that so many people decided to put on their virtual fishing cap and give Flick Fishing a try,” said Ian Lynch Smith, president and co-founder of Freeverse. “We’re very proud that over one million players have discovered that Flick Fishing is a great way to enjoy summer fun on your iPhone without the pesky flies and mosquitoes.”

The game can be purchased from iTunes for $.99
